Photographs

I was killing time, surfing a little, checking email when followed a link to my Google Alert for WUSTL soccer. The link led me to the Emory student newspaper which has a nice ad on the side to get photos that are in the paper. Being interested in photography I thought that was pretty cool and followed the link. After all, I need to kill a little time while my own photos were downloading off my SD card and into my computer.

So off I went and immediately clicked the link to see the soccer photos. There are some pretty nice photos up there, but I noticed something right away.
The price of a 4x6 inch photograph is $10.99! Wow! I guess that makes the $1.00 for one of my 4x6 prints sound like a bargain. Plus, I allow the full resolution image of my photos to be downloaded free of charge. So have them printed at your favorite photo lab, that is alright by me.

After I settled down I realized $11 is probably not so bad and I might do the same if it were my livelihood. I also figured I would take this opportunity to make sure you know that the photographs on my SmugMug site are available to download for free.

Simply click on the yellow folder that pops out when you mouse over a photo. It might also help to have the "Style" be set to "SmugMug". You should be able to change the style with the drop down menu that is on the top right side of the web page, just below where you see Jeffrey Pomranka Phtography.If you don't see the Save Photo icon, look below for a text link "save photo" that is below the photo in all other views.

If, however, you do feel like purchasing a photo from my site, Thank You! I do make a little money from the purchase and that will help pay for the hosting of the site. Unfortunately, in the two years I have been using SmugMug I have not sold enough to even pay for 1 year of fees. I do this for the enjoyment I get from making the photographs, I don't want it to be work.

I hope you enjoythe photos as much as I do. Feel free to browse around, as I will be adding photos from all the games I am able to attend (typically I don't travel). New photos will be uploaded to the WU Soccer 2008 Galleries section. For those who care, you can also link to the photo or send a link to a friend, just use the "share photo" button.
